Dan Olympia retiring from Educational Psychology department

Dr. Daniel Olympia will be retiring from the school psychology program faculty in Educational Psychology on June 30, 2016. He has over 15 years of experience working in various school settings as a school psychologist and counselor prior to transitioning to his current tenure track position at the University of Utah in 1999. His professional and research interests include school-based interventions for academic and behavioral problems, practical applications of positive psychology, social skills training, and consultation. More recently, he has served on the Program Approval Board for the National Association of School Psychologists and on the Commission on Accreditation for the American Psychological Association. In addition to holding various college, state and national leadership positions, he was awarded the Trainers of School Psychologists Presidential Service Award in 2012, the College of Education Outstanding Faculty Service Award in 2013, and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Utah Association of School Psychologists in 2007. The College would like to express heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for the service he has rendered to the College of Education as well as the University, community and professional organizations.
