Requirements

The Literacy, Language, and Learning Doctoral Program consists of coursework, research experiences in faculty member’s ongoing research, and mentored independent study and research in specific areas of students' interests. Accordingly, the emphasis of coursework is on building expertise in research methodology as well as in-depth disciplinary knowledge of reading and literacy. The Literacy, Language, and Learning Doctoral Program requires 56 credit hours with additional 15 dissertation research hours.
