The Educational Assessment and Student Support Clinic (EASSC) is a student training facility housed in the Department of Educational Psychology within the University of Utah College of Education. Our primary mission is to provide high-quality training in the delivery of educational and psychological services to children, adolescents, and their families.

Assessment/Evaluation Services
Psychoeducational Evaluation
- Psychoeducational assessments evaluate various domains of functioning, including cognitive reasoning, memory, processing, academic skills, and social/emotional/behavioral.
- These assessments provide insight into an individual’s cognitive and academic strengths and areas of need, facilitating the development of targeted interventions designed to enhance their overall well-being.
Autism Evaluation
- An autism evaluation utilizes a range of diagnostic instruments to assess an individual’s functioning.
- Assessments that may be administered include the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2), cognitive assessments, social skills evaluations, standardized questionnaires, including those that capture developmental and/or adaptive functioning.
Neuropsychological Evaluation
- Neuropsychological evaluations focus on assessment of brain function and development, as well as aspects of social/emotional/behavioral functioning.
- These evaluations are most useful to identify the impact of various conditions, such as neurological diseases, developmental disorders, or brain injuries (e.g., head trauma, sports-related injuries, birth trauma, etc.).
- The evaluation process involves assessing a range of cognitive domains including memory, attention, concentration, and motor skills, among others.
